Current Position: Health and Well-being Consultant, Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange, CA
Gigliotti has extensive experience in weight management, having served as the Program Director of the Weight Management Program at the University of CA, Irvine, working in a multi-disciplinary medical office focusing on weight management and risk factor reduction. Currently she works in corporate wellness, championing the inclusion of prevention and chronic disease management in employee health benefits. Gigliotti is board-certified in obesity and weight management and a Certified Diabetes Educator. She was a contributor to the first Standards of Practice/Standards of Professional Performance in Weight Management and was engaged in the development of the Certified Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management credential. Linda’s professional experiences include nutritional support and metabolic management as well academic appointments. She has extensive experience in outpatient and community education, specifically in weight management and lifestyle modification, working with clients to make choices to manage their health. Gigliotti is a former Commissioner to the Commission on Dietetic Registration, serving as chair 2018-2019. Past activities include the Academy Evidence Based Practice committee and chair of the Weight Management DPG. Linda earned her Master's degree in nutrition education from the University of Delaware.
